# The free tools over the API: 1Post docs

Run the 1Post free tools without a key: check_post, split_thread, platform_limits and build_utm_link, over REST or the MCP server.

Four free tools run without a key at GET or POST /v1/public/tools/{tool}: check_post, split_thread, platform_limits and build_utm_link. They use the same rules as the composer. Public routes allow 30 requests a minute and 1,000 a day per address. The MCP server offers the same tools to assistants.

- check_post: how a text counts on each network and which rules it breaks.
- split_thread: split a long text at each network's limit.
- platform_limits: every limit in one table.
- build_utm_link: add campaign parameters to a link.

Use GET with query parameters for short input and POST with a JSON body for long text. The same tools run in your browser on the [free tools](https://get1post.com/tools.md) pages.

## Questions
