# Repeat and follow-up rules: 1Post docs

Rules that repeat or answer your own post with fixed text you wrote once it reaches a like count, and how to switch them on and off.

A rule acts on a post when it reaches a like count you set: repost it, add a follow-up, comment from another account or repost from another account. The text is yours and fixed. Rules are saved turned off, and you turn one on with PATCH. 1Post writes nothing for you.

## Kinds of rule

- repost: send the post again after a delay.
- follow_up: add your own follow-up text.
- cross_comment and cross_repost: act from helper accounts you choose.

A rule can cover one connected account or one post. Set the like count, the delay (5 minutes to 24 hours) and the text. Rules are listed with GET /v1/plugs and removed with DELETE.

## Questions

**Do rules write text for me?**

No. They send exactly the text you saved.
