# Scheduling: 1Post docs

The three ways to send a post, how time zones are read, how far ahead you can schedule and what changing a scheduled post does.

Give a post a time, the next free slot, or publish it now. A time is ISO 8601 and is read as UTC when it has no offset. If you send both a time and the slot flag, the time wins. Changing a scheduled post takes it back, edits it, checks it again and schedules it at the same time.

## Three ways

- schedule_at: an exact time.
- use_next_free_slot: the next weekly slot with room, for the accounts you pick. If no slot is free you get an error, never an immediate publish.
- publish_now: send it at once.

## Limits

How far ahead you can schedule and how many posts wait in the queue depend on the plan: Starter 200 queued posts, Creator 1,000 queued posts, Agency 3,000 queued posts.

## Changing and cancelling

PATCH /v1/posts/{id} changes only what you send, all or nothing. DELETE cancels a schedule for every destination or one. A destination that is already live on a network is not removed there.

## Questions

**Which time zone do slots use?**

The workspace time zone. Exact times you send are ISO 8601, and a time with no offset is read as UTC.
