# Workspaces, members and roles: 1Post docs

How a workspace separates brands and clients, which roles exist and what each role may do, including which roles approve posts.

A workspace keeps one brand or client apart from the rest. Members join with one of six roles: owner, admin, editor, contributor, reviewer or read-only. Owners, admins and reviewers approve posts. A contributor's posts go to review, and a read-only member can look but not change anything.

## Roles

| Role | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Owner | Everything, including billing and the switch that lets keys and assistants approve posts. |
| Admin | Manages members, accounts and settings, and approves posts. |
| Editor | Writes, schedules and publishes posts. |
| Contributor | Writes posts that go to review before they are scheduled. |
| Reviewer | Comments on and approves posts. |
| Read-only | Reads posts, results and the calendar. |

## Members are unlimited

Every plan includes unlimited members, so you can invite reviewers and clients without changing your price. See [pricing](https://get1post.com/pricing.md).

## Questions

**Does an API key have its own role?**

No. A key acts with the role of the member who made it and stops working when that member leaves the workspace.
