# Scheduled post: definition for social media posting

What scheduled post means in social media posting, in plain words, with how 1Post handles it.

A scheduled post is a post saved with a future time, which a tool publishes for you when that time arrives, so you do not need to be online. You can edit, move or delete it before it goes out. Failed posts show the network's reason so you can fix and retry.

A post is checked when you schedule it and again when it is due.

Time and time zone are shown on the post so a schedule never surprises you.

## Questions

**Can I edit a scheduled post?**

Yes, until it publishes. After that, moving it asks whether to update the details only or post again.
