# Trial Reels: definition for social media posting

What trial reels means in social media posting, in plain words, with how 1Post handles it.

A Trial Reel is an Instagram Reel shown first to people who do not follow the account, so you can test it before it reaches followers. Instagram decides what happens after the trial. 1Post lets you mark a Reel as a Trial Reel when you schedule it.

Trial Reels let you try a clip on a new audience without putting it in front of followers straight away.

In the composer it is a switch on the Instagram tab for a Reel.

Yes. Pick Reel, then the Trial Reel setting, and schedule as usual.
