# How to schedule posts to a Discord channel

Create a channel webhook in Discord, paste it into 1Post and schedule text, images and video to the channel.

In Discord, open the channel's settings and create a webhook, then copy its URL. In 1Post choose Accounts, Connect, Discord and paste the URL. Now pick the channel in the composer and schedule text of up to 2,000 characters with images or video, using Discord's markdown for formatting.

## Steps

1. Create the webhook. In Discord open the channel settings, Integrations, Webhooks and make a new one.
2. Copy the URL. Copy the webhook address; keep it private.
3. Connect in 1Post. In Accounts choose Connect, Discord and paste the URL.
4. Compose. Pick the channel and write the post; markdown formatting is supported.
5. Schedule. Choose a time or the next free slot.

## Good to know

- Anyone holding the webhook URL can post to the channel, so treat it as a secret.

## Questions

**Can I post images?**

Yes, up to ten images or a video per post.

**Can I name the bot?**
