# Free X API posting cost calculator

Work out the monthly cost of creating posts through the X API from posts per day and the share with links, at X's published pay-per-use prices.

Enter how many posts you create a day through the X API and what share carry a link. The calculator multiplies by X's published pay-per-use prices of $0.015 for a post and $0.200 for a post with a URL, and shows the month's total. Reads, deletes and other calls are not included.

## How it works

X lists a write price per request. A plain post costs $0.015. A post that includes a URL costs $0.200, more than thirteen times as much, so the share of posts with links decides most of the bill.

Prices are as X published them on the date below and can change. The calculator covers post creation only.

> It runs in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded, and the page works without an account. To publish what you made, [start a trial](https://get1post.com/signup.md) and open it in the composer.

## Questions

**Why does a link cost so much more?**

X prices a post with a URL at $0.200 and a plain post at $0.015. The tool shows the split so you can see what links add.

**Does it include reading or deleting posts?**

No. Only creating posts. X lists other actions at their own prices on its pricing page.

**Are there posting limits too?**

Yes. X limits creating posts per app and per user in a time window, shown on X's rate limit page. 1Post also keeps its own daily cap per connected account.
