Concepts: workspaces, accounts, posts and destinations

A workspace holds your members, connected accounts, posts and settings. A post is the text and media you write once. Each connected account the post goes to is a destination with its own state, its own version of the text and its own result. Slots are the weekly times posts can take.

The objects

  • Workspace: one brand or client, with its own members, roles, accounts, media, slots and plan usage.
  • Account: one connected profile, page, channel or blog on a network.
  • Post: the text, parts and media you write once.
  • Destination: a post sent to one account. It has its own state (scheduled, published, failed, or unknown), its own text if you changed it and its own results.
  • Slot: a weekly time in the workspace time zone that a post can take.

How they fit

A post can have up to 100 destinations. Each destination is checked against its network's rules before anything is queued, so one network refusing a file never holds back the others. 1Post posts to 24 networks; see platforms for what each accepts.

Questions

Can one post go to several accounts on the same network?

Yes. Each account is its own destination, so two X accounts get two destinations that can carry different text.
