1Post documentation
Everything you need to use 1Post, from the first post to the API. Read how the composer and scheduling work, how approvals and review links keep a team in step, and how to post from your own code or an assistant. Search the docs, or open the API reference and the error codes.

Quickstart: your first post from code
Create a key, find your account ids and send your first post with one request. A short path from sign-up to a scheduled post through the 1Post API.
Concepts: workspaces, accounts, posts and destinations
The five objects behind 1Post: the workspace, the connected account, the post, its destinations and the slot. Learn what each one is and how they relate.
Workspaces, members and roles
How a workspace separates brands and clients, which roles exist and what each role may do, including which roles approve posts.
Connect and manage accounts
Connect a network account by redirect or with its own details, pick the page or channel it posts to, and disconnect it without losing history.
Invite links: let a client connect their own account
Send a client a link that connects their own account to your workspace without a 1Post login, and how long it lasts.
Composer and media
The composer: one post, a version for every network
How the composer works: write once, see a live preview for each network, tailor the text per network, add parts and a first comment.
Previews, limits and how each network counts
Why a post can be fine on one network and refused on another, how 1Post checks limits before sending and where to look up each rule.
Media: uploads, imports and the library
Upload files straight to storage, import from a public address, keep favourites in the media library and what happens before a post can use a file.
Sets, signatures and tags
Save the accounts you post to together, reuse blocks of text and tag posts so you can filter the calendar and the API.
Scheduling
Scheduling: a time, a slot or now
The three ways to send a post, how time zones are read, how far ahead you can schedule and what changing a scheduled post does.
Slots and the queue
Set weekly posting times, let new posts take the next free slot and move or delete slots without losing the posts that use them.
The calendar: month, week and list
See every scheduled and published post by day, drag a post to another day and read each destination's state at a glance.
Failures, retries and unknown outcomes
What failed and unknown mean for a destination, how to retry safely and how to attach a post that went out when the answer was lost.
Repeat and follow-up rules
Rules that repeat or answer your own post with fixed text you wrote once it reaches a like count, and how to switch them on and off.
Teams and approvals
Approvals: submit, approve and request changes
How posts move through review: a contributor submits, a reviewer approves or sends back with a note, and which roles may approve.
Review links: preview and approve without a login
Send a client a link to preview posts, comment and approve them with no 1Post account, how long it works and how to revoke it.
Comments on posts
Leave notes on a post for your team, read what a client wrote on a review link and keep both with the post.
Results and inbox
Results: checkpoints, metrics and summaries
How 1Post collects each post's results at checkpoints, what the summary shows and how long results are kept for each plan.
The inbox: comments and replies
Read the comments your audience leaves on your posts, mark them open or done, assign them and send your own reply from the right account.
Notifications and the audit trail
The notification centre and per-kind email settings, and the audit trail that records who or what changed your workspace.
Plan limits and monthly usage
See what your plan includes, how much of each monthly allowance this month has used and what happens when one runs out.
API
API authentication and keys
How keys work: bound to a workspace and a member, scoped to read or write, sent as a bearer token and revoked when a member leaves.
Idempotency: retry without posting twice
Send an Idempotency-Key on a write and a retry returns the first answer for 24 hours instead of creating a second post.
Rate limits and request size
How many requests a key and an address may send, how the rate_limited error tells you when to retry and the size limit on bodies.
Creating and changing posts with the API
The request shape for POST /v1/posts: text and parts, accounts with per-account overrides, first comments, timing and what the reply holds.
Media uploads with the API
Request a signed upload address, send the file straight to storage with its headers and use the media id in a post.
The free tools over the API
Run the 1Post free tools without a key: check_post, split_thread, platform_limits and build_utm_link, over REST or the MCP server.
API reference
Every 1Post API route with its method, path, what it does, the key scope and role it needs, its parameters and its request body fields. 128 operations.
Error codes
Every error code the 1Post API returns, what it means and what to do: one envelope with a stable code, a message, a fix and a request id.
Webhooks and MCP
Webhooks: signed events when something happens
Add an endpoint, choose which events and accounts it covers, verify the Standard Webhooks signature and send a test event.
The MCP server
Connect an assistant to 1Post over MCP: free tools with no key, every tool with a key or OAuth, and confirmation for actions that publish.
MCP sign-in with OAuth
How an MCP client registers, signs in with PKCE, gets a token for one workspace and how a person revokes the connection.
From one post to every feed
Plan the week in one sitting, keep your team in the loop, and let 1Post publish on time while you get on with the rest of your day.
