Webhook: what it means

A webhook is a message one system sends to a web address you choose when something happens, such as a post being published. The message carries the details as JSON. Signing the message lets your system confirm it came from the sender and was not changed on the way.

1Post sends signed webhooks on every plan and lets you send a test message.

A webhook is also a destination: a post can be sent as signed JSON to your own address.
