How-to guide

How to post a LinkedIn link with its own title

Open the composer, choose your LinkedIn profile, and add the link. 1Post offers fields for the link card's title and description so you can set what readers see instead of what the page shows. Write the post text, within 3,000 characters, then schedule it or add it to the queue.

Steps

  1. 01

    Open Compose

Write the text of the post in the main box and pick your LinkedIn profile.

  2. 02

    Add the link

Paste the address. 1Post creates a link post, which LinkedIn shows as a card.

  3. 03

    Set the title and description

Fill the two fields for the card. They apply to LinkedIn only, so other networks keep their own text.

  4. 04

Add a first comment if you like

Put extra detail or a second link in the first comment so the post stays short.

  5. 05

    Schedule

Choose a time or the next free slot.

Good to know

  • The card's look is decided by LinkedIn; the fields set the words in it.
